Why We Built This Site
Virginia has separate court levels and law-enforcement records, so one search cannot answer every warrant question. Washington General District Court handles adult traffic, misdemeanor, and town-ordinance matters; Circuit Court keeps felony cases; Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court records have additional access limits. The magistrate can issue process, while the Sheriff's Criminal Warrant Service Unit serves warrants. Each office answers a different part of the question. A public case result may show a hearing event, but it does not certify current service status. This guide explains where a person can check public case information, which clerk holds the file, and when direct contact with the sheriff is needed.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Virginia court, sheriff's office, or state agency. There are clear limits to what we can do:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, set a court date, or guarantee a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or warrant listing on this site is current right now
Only the court that issued the warrant or the sheriff's warrant unit that holds it can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can point you to the right office, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes operated by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices, terms, and services. A paid signup may generate a referral fee that supports the website. These providers are not the Washington County Sheriff's Office or the Virginia court system, and their results do not constitute an official warrant check. Confirm relevant information with the court or law-enforcement office that holds the record.
