This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. Ask the issuing court about its record and procedures; contact law enforcement for questions within its service or records role.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Choose the office that holds the relevant record. A court clerk can explain court dockets; the Sheriff's Office can route law-enforcement service or public-records questions. Neither this website nor a public court search is a warrant certification.
- Washington County court case: use the clerk for the court named on the paperwork. General District Court is at 191 East Main Street; call (276) 676-6281 or (276) 676-6279.
- Felony case record: contact the Washington Circuit Court Clerk at 189 East Main Street, (276) 676-6224 or (276) 676-6226.
- Juvenile or domestic case: contact the JDR Court Clerk at 187 East Main Street, (276) 676-6282. Access to these records is restricted by law.
- Sheriff service information: the Sheriff's Criminal Warrant Service Unit serves criminal process. Central Dispatch, (276) 676-6277, is a public routing channel, not a public warrant database or guaranteed status certification.
- Legal options or bond: speak with a Virginia attorney and confirm procedures with the issuing court or magistrate. The research did not locate a public county bond schedule or walk-in recall policy.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office is at 20281 Rustic Lane, Abingdon, VA 24210; its administrative telephone is (276) 676-6000. For records requests, the Sheriff's FOIA contact is foia@washso.org. State the records sought and the relevant date range. A request under Virginia FOIA is subject to exemptions and the statutory response process.
